The restoration of the well-known statue of the Salvatur, on Merzuq Hill, Marsalforn, has just been completed. This constitutes Phase I of the project which will also see the monument lit up as Phase II.
The Salvatur project presented some real challenges, both because of the location, as well as nature of the restoration work involved.
Thanks to the enthusiastic and eager group of workers, from the Ministry for Gozo and Wirt Ghawdex this project has been completed as planned and the statue is now restored to its former glory.
