The University of Malta’s Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, is offering short evening courses in Biology, which are open to the public.

One such course is ‘An Introduction to Marine Biology,’ which will be held between the 5th of November and the 20th of December 2014.

This covers topics such as: General characteristics of the marine environment and the Mediterranean Sea; Shore and underwater habitats; Marine pollution; Fish, cetaceans and turtles; Aquaculture and fisheries; and Marine conservation.

Lectures will be held between 18:00 and 20:00, while practical sessions (3) will be held on Saturdays from 09:00 to 13:00.
