St Francis Church in Victoria, celebrates the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th of December each year. These festivities are opened with a Mass, animated by Chorus Urbanus, following which the artistic statue of the Immaculate Conception is placed under a canopy in the middle of the church for the veneration of all parishioners.

This year’s Mass at St Francis Church was celebrated by the Prior of the Community. The Chorus Urbanus Choir performed Battmann’s Mass including motets with a Marian theme. Following the Mass the Choir, together with the congregation sang the “Ave Maria” welcoming the statue of the Immaculate Conception as it was being taken our of its niche where it is held during the year.

Chorus Urbanus will also be animating the High Mass that will be led by Bishop Mario Grech on the Eve of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, on Sunday, the 7th of December.
