Malta Public Transport and Transport Malta held a meeting yesterday morning to introduce the management team from Autobuses de Leon to the General Workers Union, as the recognised union representing the employees of the bus company.

This meeting was a cordial and positive meeting where it was acknowledged that there is the need to improve the overall working environment, conditions and processes for the employees, which in turn would be instrumental in improving the service being given to the public in the immediate future, Malta Public Transport said.

Malta Public Transport took the opportunity to thank the General Workers Union and the employees for their support throughout last year.

At the same time Autobuses de Leon explained that “they look forward to working together with the Union and employees over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition of the public transport service in Malta and Gozo.”
