The 40th edition of the Gozo Half Marathon will be taking place in less than 3 months time. The Gozo Half Marathon Organising Committee has been meeting since September to plan ahead for the big day, which this year is on the 26th of April.

Last year’s edition saw the highest number of participants ever, with 420 athletes. This number has been on a steady increase in recent years. The organisers said that “while numbers are important, we have always preferred to focus on the individual experience of each athlete.”

“Feedback in has shown us that athletes appreciate this, and despite being a small event when compared to other national and worldwide athletic events, we have a high number of return participants.”

The GHM Organising Committee added, “keeping up with the ever increasing demand while at the same time transmitting the same positive experience to participants is quite a daunting task, more so when considering that all committee members are on a voluntary basis.”

For those athletes who want to take part on the day, online registrations will be open on Friday, the 20th of February. For anyone else would like to get involved, the organisers said that they welcome any kind of support in terms of on-the-day volunteering and/or sponsorships.
