14 males aged between 17 and 31 years and a female aged 19 years, were arrested in Gozo on Saturday, in a joint operation by the Drug Squad Police together with the Gozo’s Criminal Investigation Department.

The Police said that the arrests were made after they effected several inspections in Gozo in connection with drug trafficking and abuse. Those arrested are of Maltese, British, African and Finnish nationality.

Three are are being investigated for possession of Cocaine and Ecstasy, which were not intended for their personal use, while the remainder were arrested for possession of Cocaine, Ecstasy, Cannabis resin and Cannabis grass.

Police investigations are still underway.
