The Labour Party is presenting 32 candidates for the 11th of April Local Council elections in Gozo, made up of men, and women, both young and old. “This is one of the most powerful Gozitan teams ever presented.”

This was announced by the Prime Minister and Labour Party Leader Joseph Muscat, during the Gozo launch of candidates at a political event held in Xaghra on Saturday afternoon.The Prime Minister spoke about the work being done in the field of employment in Gozo, outlining that in the first year of this Government they have created more than 500 jobs, unlike that of the previous administration, when only 18 jobs were created in their last year. “We keep our promise of work in Gozo for Gozitans,” said Joseph Muscat.Dr Muscat reiterated what he had said last week in Qala, that in the coming months a major foreign direct investment for Gozo will be announced, “which will make Gozo the envy of Malta, and through which investment will attract more employment.”

The leader of the Labour Party Labour stressed that the majority of Local Councils in Gozo are out to make a difference in their localities, and therefore the Gozitan vote is most important.

“The aim is for the party to win a majority of votes, no matter how small that majority may be.” concluded the Prime Minister.
