The sixth edition of the Malta Tourism Authority Malta Tourism Press Awards ceremony has been held at Palazzo Palina, Hotel Ta’ Cenc & Spa in Gozo.

The awards were presented by the Minister for Tourism Dr Edward Zammit Lewis, whilst the Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo presented the Special Prize for Gozo.

The main objective of the awards is to honour journalists, TV producers and photographers from all over the world, whose work, published during 2014, contributed to the promotion and enhancement of tourism to the Maltese Islands.

During 2014 MTA hosted over 400 journalists from various International media.

The winners of the six categories of the awards were the following:

1. Magazine Article Category – Andreas Steiner – ‘Malta Megalitica Nelle Isole dei Templi Giganti’ ARCHEO

2. Newspaper Article Category -. Maria Jesús Tomé Martinez – ‘Gozo, bye bye estrés’ La Vanguardia, Viajar

3. Online/Video/Blog Category- Michael Cranmer Malta 2014 Bespoke guide – Beau Travel Magazine www.beautravelmagazine.com

4. MICE Article Category – Karinne Delorme ‘Malte 5 raisons d’y organiser votre Événement’ – Tendance Nomade

5. Photography Reportage Category – Mauro Rongione – Vilsamma Gozo – Lantliv

6. Television Documentary Category – Claire Huille & Locky Mokbel – Échappées Belles à Malta – France 5

7. Special Prize for Gozo – Gemma Taylor ‘Instant Escapes: Go-Slow Gozo’ – The Sunday Times Travel Magazine
