Government announces price reductions on fourteen medicines

The Government announced today that the prices of medicines are being reduced again, with 14 named as going down in price by between 5% and 28%.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the medicine distributor – A.M. Mangion, based in Luqa.

The 14 medicines being reduced, consist mostly of those used in the treatment of depression, migraine, diabetes, heart problems, osteoporosis, migraine and eye infections, the Government said.

While some of the medicines have already been reduces, the remainder will go down in price on Monday, the 4th of May.
