A special Mother’s Day Open Market, is being organised by the Nadur Local Council, on Sunday, the 3rd of May and will be held in Nadur Centre and surrounding areas.
The stalls will include food, clothing and household goods and many more besides. It will be a great opportunity on this special occasion to purchase the ideal Mother’s Day gift
Stands will be open from 8.00am onwards and continue throughout the day.

That’ll be worth seeing…
Have you seen the state of “Nadur Centre” recently?
Yes I live in Nadur, it was market day this morning, what I call organized chaos, cars, deliver vans, scooters all looking for somewhere to park. Not a warden or policeman in sight and only one diversion sign that I know of. One day somebody in the council will wake up to the fact that every market day delivery vans cause congestion, and that they should be banned until after 11am When the Square is finished Nadur will need a one way system as there will only be a maximum of 8 parking spaces, 2 are for police vehicles, 1 will be for an electric vehicles, I for doctor at clinic, and hopefully 2 disabled spaces.
They haven’t, to my knowledge made any provision for extra parking elsewhere. In fact if they think about it an organized car park with a parking fee could bring in extra revenue or will we see parking meters? What is traffic management and who is responsible?
Excellent but what about all the extra cars with the church and market on a Sunday, where will everybody park because the square is dug up? What about traffic management, will there be extra personnel to direct traffic and extra signs to guide us through the village? Will some streets me one way, to avoid traffic jams? I will leave the car at home and walk.
