The Gozo Business Chamber has given congratulations to one of its members – Alda Bugeja, who recently won two awards in the Premju Gieh l-Artigjanat Malti 2014, in recognition for her work in crafts and craft initiatives.

Weaver Alda Bugejga was the winner in Category 4: Appreciation for Commitment in Crafts and was awarded the consolation prize in Category 2: Crafts Initiatives, for ‘ATTIVITA GEWWA L-MITHNA TA’ KOLA, FIX-XAGHRA, GHAWDEX.’

The Commerce Department within the Ministry For The Economy, Investment And Small Business organised the awards-giving ceremony of the Premju Gieh l-Artigjanat Malti 2014 and the Premju Innovazzjoni Malta 2014 whereby the winners, runner-ups and consolation prizes were announced.

The competition Premju Gieh l-Artigjanat Malti 2014 included 4 categories:

Category 1: CRAFTS PRODUCTS (75 applications were submitted)

Category 2: CRAFTS INITIATIVES (12 applications were submitted)

Category 3: AWARD FOR INCLUSIVENESS AND INTEGRATION THROUGH CRAFTS (5 applications were submitted)

Category 4: APPRECIATION FOR COMMITMENT IN CRAFTS (11 applications were submitted).
