The Zebbug Local Council is again commemorating Zebbug Day, this year the celebrations will be marking the 327th year from the founding of Zebbug Gozo Parish.

There will be a number of organised activities, including the presentation of the ‘Gieh iz-Zebbug’ award.

The Programme of Zebbug Day Celebrations 2015 will be as follows:

Saturday 25th April:

9.00am – Games & Entertainment for all the Children at the synthetic turf football ground, organised by the Local Council in full collaboration with the Zebbug Rovers FC Committee.

8.00pm – A Commemorative Ceremony will take place at the main hall of Zebbug Primary School. The ‘Gieh iz-Zebbug’ award will also be presented during this Ceremony. “Banda Santa Marija” and the “Regina Angelorum” Choir will take part during the soiree. A reception will follow for all those who attend.

Sunday 26th April:

9.00am – The blessing of pets by Zebbug Archpriest Kan. Rev. Ruben Micallef, in the presence of Mayor Nicky Saliba and Councillors, will take place at Pjazza Assunta Zebbug. A commemorative token will be given to all those who attend with their pets.

Tuesday 28th April:

7.00pm – A Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at the St. Mary Parish Church in Zebbug, organised by the Zebbug Local Council, with the participation of the local choir “Santa Marija” to commemorate the 327th year from its foundation as a Parish.
