LGBTI + Gozo has stressed the need of a GU clinic in Gozo. “It is of critical importance to have this facility in the island of Gozo, which needs to be complimented with an awareness campaign for sexual health and sexual education within our peers.”

“With the talk currently of a new health investment in Gozo, the investment of a GU clinic in Gozo will not only help and offer assistance to those in need, but also help prevent any STDs through awareness campaigns and other material that can be given in schools, as those place frequented by our youths.”

“As youths are engaging in sexual activities at a younger age, sexual education in secondary and post-secondary schools, together with the GU clinic will broaden the perspective of a youth that is sexually active, said LGBTI + Gozo

Moreover, there is the need for a holistic approach when it comes to educating school counsellors, nurses and other personnel on how to tackle such sexual transmitted disorders, concluded LGBTI + Gozo.
