ITS announces registration dates and information sessions

The Institute of Tourism Studies has announced that the registrations for the scholastic year 2015-2016 will open from the 27th July 2015 to the 7th August 2015.
The Institute will also be organising information session on the 30th July, 31st July and 3rd August 2015, where prospective students can learn more about their chosen programmes of studies and get support to choose the ideal path leading to their future career in tourism or hospitality.
The ITS said that it has revised its courses structure this year as reflected in the recently published prospectus. These changes are aimed bringing the study programmes offered by ITS further in line with the requirements of the industry.
“ITS students will this year benefit from a more streamlined array of academic programmes, with curricula that have been engineered to create a fine balance between technical skills, academic rigour and practiced applications.”
Moreover a new progression-system ensures that the study programmes offered are more student-focused, allowing students to progress from one level to the next, year after year, towards their chosen career, the Institute said.
The information sessions will be held at ITS in St. Julians, as follows:

9.30am Foundation in Hospitality and Tourism
11.00am Certificate in Travel and Tourism
Diploma in Travel and Tourism Operations
Higher National Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management
12.30pm Certificate in Rooms Division
Diploma in Rooms Division Operations
Higher National Diploma in Rooms Division Management

9.30am Certificate in Evens and Leisure
Diploma in Events and Leisure Operations
Higher National Diploma in Events and Leisure Management
11.00am Certificate in Food Preparations and Service
