Vehicles will be using two carriageways on the Coast Road, between Bahar ic-Caghaq and Triq ir-Ramla, as from tomorrow, Transport Malta has said.
Until now traffic is travelling in both directions on one carriageway. As from Friday, vehicles will start using both carriageways between Bahar ic-Caghaq and Triq ir-Ramla. As per the final design, vehicles on the sea-side-carriageway will travel southbound while the land-side-carriageway will travel northbound.
“The speed limit on all carriageways and all the Coast Road will for the time being remain at 40Km/hr and no overtaking is allowed. The Coast Road remains a construction site and drivers need to follow the signs, follow directions and drive with caution.”
The Coast Road project is fast approaching the completion phases in significant stretches, Transport Malta said.
