The nursery team from Ghajnsielem FC has taken part in a regional tournament in Ghajnsielem’s twinned town of Tolfa, Rome. ‘When Sports Becomes a Bridge of Culture and Friendship,’ was the main theme chosen for this football tournament.

The players were accompanied on their trip by the Club President Alex Spiteri, Local Councillor Larry Buttigieg and the player’s parents.

The trip for the youngsters was possible thanks to the collaboration between the Ghajnsielem Local Council and the Comune di Tolfa.

The delegation of 32 also had the opportunity to tour the town of Tolfa and spend a day in Rome. Next year, Ghajnsielem will be hosting a similar tournament in Gozo, for which the Tolfa AC team will be invited to participate.
