Industrial production went down by 0.8% in September – NSO

Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.8 per cent in September to 99.6 points.over the previous month. When compared to September 2014, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 3.5 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.
Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (2.4 per cent), capital goods (1.5 per cent) and consumer goods (0.7 per cent). On the other hand, the production of energy increased by 0.4 per cent.
When compared to the corresponding month last year, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 3.5 per cent. Increases were registered in the production of consumer goods (14.5 per cent) and energy (1.7 per cent). On the other hand, decreases were registered in the production of capital goods (5.0 per cent) and intermediate goods (3.6 per cent).
