This Sunday, a new book is to be launched, "L-Immakulata Kuncizzjoni tar-Rabat Ghawdex – l-istatwa li naqax l-iskultur Salvatore Psaila," researched and written by Anthony Farrugia.
The book analyses the recent discovery by the author of the contract for the commissioning of the statue of the Immaculate Conception sculpted in wood by Mastro Salvatore Psaila.
It also provides a detailed historical background to the feast of the Immaculate Conception celebrated at St. Francis Church in Victoria, Gozo.
Everyone is invited to the launch which will take place at the Ministry for Gozo, St. Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo, starting at 11.00am
The book will be for sale, and a book-signing session will follow.
