The two Scout Groups on Gozo – namely the Xaghra Scout Group and the Victoria Scout Group – are joining together, along with the Malta Community Chest Fund office in Gozo, to organise a charity walk to kick off their celebrations of 100 years of Scouting in Gozo.

The year 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of Scouting in Gozo. The two Scout Groups have prepared a programme of activities to commemorate the event. Putting into practice the Scout's Law and Promise, which emphasises on helping other people, the first activity will be a walk in aid of the Community Chest Fund.

This event is taking place next Sunday, the 24th of January and is open for the general public to participate, with the donations going to the MCCF. Children are asked to donate €3 to participate, and adults are asked to contribute €5 or more.

The route will start from Ta' Pinu at 10.00am, continue to Gharb, San Lawrenz, Ghasri and finish back at Ta' Pinu.

More information can be obtained from www.victoriascoutgroup.org or www.xaghrascouts.com or the Facebook page of the two groups.
