The usual enthusiasm and revelry has dominated the Carnival events across Gozo over the past few days days. The mainly fine weather has attracted thousands of visitors to the island for this very popular 5 days of entertainment.
The extra visitors will be generating an increase for local businesses across the island, in what is normally thought as a quiet time of the year for the tourism industry.
There are still two colourful, fun packed evenings of Carnival events not to be missed in Victoria and Nadur.
This evening, at 6.00pm the Gozo Regional Carnival will get underway, with a Defilé along Republic Street – Carnival Dance Companies, grotesque masques, carnival floats, bands and Carnival Folk Dance starting from Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria.
The very popular Nadur Spontaneous Carnival, is also taking place tonight, with the last events taking place on Tuesday night.
This is a unique carnival well known throughout the world. It will take place in December 13th Street and St. Peter & St. Paul Square, as well as the surrounding streets, beginning after sunset on both days and lasting till the early morning hours.
Then on Tuesday evening, The Grand Finalé of Gozo Carnival 2016 will take place along Republic Street, starting at 6.00pm, with Carnival Dance Companies, grotesque masques, carnival floats, bands and Carnival Folk Dance starting from Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria.
