The Astra Theatre's first ever live musical production, 'Grease – The Musical, is being performed on Saturday, the 16th of April.

There is an opportunity to book seats through the Theatre's Early Bird Offer, which runs until the end of February. The prices are shown at the bottom of the page.

Grease needs no introduction, it is regarded as one of the most popular musicals of all time, and one of the longest running productions in Broadway, it propelled John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John to worldwide popularity.

Also a major box office hit on the West End, Grease will dance its way to Gozo, namely on to the Astra Theatre stage this April.

It will be under the musical direction of Mro Sigmund Mifsud with Julie Zahra as voice coach. Choreography by Nathalie Scortino and Chris Gatt will handle directing duties.

The Astra Theatre said that it is once more seeking to break new ground in Gozo, by creating an opportunity for fresh young talent to take centre stage in this new take of this evergreen musical.

This week the auditions were held at the Astra Theatre, and the production team said that they had a great response from both Gozitan and Maltese. The full cast will be announced by the Theatre in the coming days.
