A Maltese delegation has taken part in the British Isles and Mediterranean Region (BIMR) Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference, which took place in Guernsey

The delegation was composed of Parliamentary Secretary Justyne Caruana, the independent Member of Parliament Marlene Farrugia and the Labour Party Whip Godfrey Farrugia.

During the different sessions, members of the Maltese delegation gave an account of the situation in Malta in the context of the topics discussed and talked about the initiatives being taken by our country.

They also were able to gain knowledge from the experiences quoted of what happens and what is being done in other countries.

Parliamentary Secretary Caruana, as head of delegation, also participated in meetings of the Regional Steering Committee of the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians and conducted a session on health and social care.
