Malta Enterprise will be organising an information session on the Gozo Transport Scheme and Micro Invest Scheme.

The Gozo Transport Scheme supports manufacturing undertakings operating from Gozo by reducing the additional inter-island transport cost incurred for transporting materials, goods and finished products between Malta and Gozo.

This assistance serves to reduce the cost-disadvantages for manufacturers based in Gozo, rendering these businesses in a better position to compete effectively within the single market.

On the other hand, Micro Invest encourages undertakings to invest in their business, innovate, expand and develop their operations. Undertakings which may include self-employed persons, that employ less than 30 persons, will be supported through a tax credit representing a percentage of the eligible expenditure and wages of newly recruited employees.

An additional bonus of 20% (total 65% tax credit) applies to undertakings operating from Gozo. Moreover, an additional €20,000 tax credit (not exceeding €50,000) applies to start-ups established in Gozo.

The sessions are the Gozo Transport Grant Scheme at 10:30am and the Micro Invest Scheme at 1:00pm.
