Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 4.6 per cent in January to 93.5 points over the previous month. When compared to January 2015, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 8.1 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.

Decreases were registered in the production of consumer goods (7.1 per cent), intermediate goods (3.7 per cent), energy (0.9 per cent) and capital goods (0.1 per cent).

When compared to the corresponding month of 2015, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 8.1 per cent. Decreases were registered in the production of consumer goods (16.5 per cent), intermediate goods (5.4 per cent), capital goods (1.1 per cent) and energy (0.3 per cent.
