Front Harsien ODZ has today been carrying out a symbolic action to draw the public's attention to the problem of diminishing natural land in Malta.
Activists held a picnic on roundabouts next to a slogan reading "Without nature, look where we've ended up." The front said that Malta is, by far, the country with most built-up areas in the EU – 33% compared to the EU average of 5% (Eurostat 2012).
"Yet, ODZ land continues to face the constant threat of development through unsustainable projects such as that of Sadeen's institute."
Front Harsien ODZ concluded by saying that it reiterates its stance against development on ODZ land and in favour of protecting the people's right to nature.
