An exhibition of Colour and Collage by Caroline Young Cali’ – opens at the Art..e Gallery in Victoria, next Saturday, the 9th of April, at 7.30pm.

Caroline, who was born in 1958, comes from an artistic background. She is the great grand- daughter of Giuseppe Cali’ and the grand-daughter of Ramiro Cali’ and Maria Cali’ Corleo.

In 1979, she graduated first class B.A. Hons. in Fashion and Textiles and worked for a number of years in the fashion industry. She has taught art at secondary level for the past 24 years.

Caroline has worked on a number of design projects including – Fat Harry’s Pub, Cafe’ jubilee, Grapes Wine Bar, Rubble Bar, Ta’ Pawla, Ta Pawlu Restaurant, and the recent refurbishment of Malta International Airport, to name but a few.

Caroline’s passion is the sea, with its many moods. She spends many happy hours by the sea, collecting “treasures” and observing form and colour.

Besides painting seascapes and fishing boats Caroline has produced a small collection of marine-inspired collages, paving the way for a journey into the abstract.

The exhibition will run until Friday, the 6th of May and is open for viewing Mondays to Saturdays from 9.30am till 12.15pm. On Fridays, the gallery is also open between 5.00pm and 7.00pm.
