Next Friday, the new Society in Gozo – Philosophy Sharing Gozo, is organising its next public talk, which will take place at the premises of Circolo Gozitano, in Victoria.

Professor Joe Friggieri will be the lead speaker for the night. He will be delivering a talk entitled: "Theories of Art – A Philosophical Introduction."

Together the audience will be dealing with questions pertaining to aesthetics, such as: "What is art?" "What makes art, art?" and "Are art and beauty essentially related?"

This event is open to anyone who wishes to participate in philosophical debate and discussions; anyone who has an interest in philosophy or art, or wishes to know more about these subjects; and to all those who wish to join for a chat!

The Philosophy Sharing Foundation was established in 2012. With the mission to bring those philosophy enthusiasts together: to instigate, enhance and expand philosophical activity on the Maltese islands; and to allow society to participate.

This new section in Gozo, is driven and organised by the Gozitans. Those who are interested to join and help, are more than welcome, including for foreigners. It is for this reason, the Society said, that activities and talks will be held in English, to remove any language barriers,.

Entrance is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend this session, which will be held at Circolo Gozitano, 6, Sir Adrian Dingli Street, Victoria, on Friday, the 6th of May, starting at 7.30pm.
