Gozo Motocross Association has announced that the semi-Finals of the Gozo Motocross Championship 2015/16 will be taking place this Sunday, the 8th of May, at Ta' Xhajma track, races will start at noon instead of 1pm.

In what promises to be an exciting afternoon of racing, riders will be up for the challenge against each other now that the Championship is coming to a close. Each and every rider in each of the three categories, A, B,and C, will fight for the maximum number of points possible.

In class A Mario Cauchi is ahead of former champion Etienne Bigeni by a few points. The race between the two motocross riders is a challenging one, with Robert Spiteri following close behind.

The outcome of both the semi-finals and the finals on the 15th of May, will determine the winner for the Championship 2015-16.

The Semi-Finals race is part of the Gozo Festival of Sports spread across the four weekends in May 2016. The Minister for Gozo, Anton Refalo and Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport Chris Aguis, will be attending Sunday's event at Ta' Xjama Motocross Track.

Meanwhile, also as part of the Gozo festival of Sports, the Gozo Rally Enduro will take place on Saturday, the 7th of May in Gozo.

All Motocross and Enduro lovers are invited to participate in this unique event that has never been organised before on the island. The route is exclusive with a maximum time frame of 20 minutes. Registrations will be accepted up till 11:00 am, before the event starts.
