The National Blood Transfusion Service has said that there is a great demand for blood needed for patients in the hospitals of Malta and Gozo, therefore putting increased pressure on the Service to provide blood to all hospitals

The Service is encouraging everyone to donate blood and to this end, tomorrow, Sunday, the 15th of May, blood donations can be made at the Outpatients Department of the Gozo General Hospital, between 8am and 1pm, (last registration at 1pm)

It is important that before you go to donate blood to drink a substantial amount of water, and take your ID card, driving license or Maltese passport. The Service thanks everyone in advance those who intend to donate.
