This year Cub Scouts all around the world are celebrating their 100 years of existence. As part of the celebrations in Malta, The Scout Association of Malta organised a camp with the theme Cubs Rock!
Over 350 Cubs, this weekend, camped together at the Ghajn Tuffieha International Scout Campsite.
Sean Bartolo, a member of the National Events Committee said that, the centenary camp went really well and all the little members enjoyed themselves.
"The participants took part in a number of activities such as crafts, hiking, camping, dancing, climbing pioneering structures and participating in loads of other challenges. The SPICES of Scouting are truly at their best!"
On Saturday night, during a special campfire, the participants also supported Ira Losco during the final night of the Eurovision Song Contest? On Sunday afternoon, the camp ended with a closing ceremony were all the participants and leaders were presented with a token and a badge for participating in the centenary camp.
Jeffrey Cachia, the Chairman of the National Events Committee praised the work of all the National Service Team who attended the camp as volunteers and said that if it weren't for these invaluable individuals this camp would not have been the success it was, he also thanked the leaders and the cubs for participating in a truly memorable camp.
