Heritage Malta has said that nine of its sites have received the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, including the Ggantija Temples in Xaghra, Gozo.

The other eight sites are: the National War Museum, the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, the National Museum of Archaeology, Mnajdra Temples, Hagar Qim Temples, the Malta Maritime Museum, St. Paul's Catacombs, and Fort St. Elmo.

Additionally, the The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum and Hagar Qim Temples also received the Travelers' Choice Award for 2016.
