A 44-year-old man from Nadur, sustained grievous injuries after falling the height of about one storey on a construction site in Uqija Street, Swieqi earlier today.

Police said that the incident happened at about 10.30am this morning. District Police and an ambulance were on site to assist the man, who was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.

Police from the St Julian's Police District are investigating the case.
