"The rights, the privileges and legal interests of minorities should always be respected, including those of people who were enjoying the music at the festival in Buskett on Wednesday evening," the Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FKNK), said in a statement today.
The FKNK said that it "disassociates itself from the appeal made by certain organisations, to stop the festival, as this could disturb flocks of Black Kite on a stop over for the night at Buskett during their migration."
It added that, "unlike other organisations, FKNK believes that other than black and white, a grey colour also exists. We do not agree that an isolated incident should serve as a precedent to start appealing a ban for this, that and the other."
The FKNK concluded by saying they were "informed that the kites actually still spent the night at Buskett and continued their migration southward the following morning.
