Police have advised that a man died in Ghasri, Gozo, yesterday afternoon, when the truck he was driving crashed into a wall.

The accident happened at about 4.10pm in Triq il-Fenek. Police said the 63 year-old man was driving a Ford Cargo, when the cab of the truck he was driving became dislodged and crashed into a wall.

CPD personnel were called on site to assist the victim. Unfortunately he was certified dead on the spot, Police said.

Duty Magistrate Dr Paul Coppini LLD was informed about the case whereby he appointed several experts to assist him in the Magisterial Inquiry.

Police investigations are still underway.
