Throughout this Christmas week, the Parliamentary Secretary for Rights of Persons with Disability and Active Ageing, Dr Justyne Caruana, will be visiting elderly residents in nursing homes on the island.
On Saturday, Dr Caruana visited the Santa Anna Ward and the Male Geriatric Long Stay Ward of the Gozo General Hospital., where she distributed gifts to the residents of the wards.
Why not? They are our dear brothers and sisters. I hope that more philanthropic groups will pay them a visit and take them some Christmas Spirit. They love Christmas Carols sung to them live and some pastizzi and qaghaq ta l-Ghasel, (soft ones) Happy Christmas to all and may God bless you and you dear ones.
