The Bishop of Gozo Mario Grech, has appointed Mgr Paul Cardona, his Episcopal Vicar for Clergy, as Rector of the Church of Santa Lucija, Gozo, with effect from the 15th of January 2017.

He is replacing Father Francis Sultana, who was appointed as Honorary Bishop of the Gozo Cathedral Chapter.

The Bishop has also made two appointments as Honorary Monsignor of the Cathedral Collegiate Chapter.

• Canon Francis Sultana, of the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and St Gregory the Great, Kercem,

• Canon John Mercieca, of the Parish of St. George, Victoria.
