Shadow Minister for Gozo Dr Chris Said, has said that reports were made some years ago on the proposed development of coastal defences against wave damage for Marsalforn Bay, in order that a solution could be adopted to construct a breakwater.

Dr Said, in a post on his facebook page, went on to say that in Parliament the Minister for Gozo avoids any question being put forward on this project.

“There is an urgent need for a solution to stop the damage to residences and businesses.” Dr Said stated that “three million euro was found for the stairs at St Francis Square, but money to rectify this breakwater is not available. There is no doubt that priorities are wrong.”
