In a statement today, the Malta Union of Teachers congratulated the Labour Party on the electoral result and second mandate, saying that it was “ready to initiate discussions on implementation of education electoral proposals.”

The MUT added that it had “followed proposals presented by the Labour Party in relation to the educational sector.”

“The Union is willing to initiate discussions with the newly elected Government in order to implement proposals within the context of collective and sectoral agreements,” the Malta Union of Teachers concluded.
