Massive crowds lined Republic Street up to Independence Square in Victoria, Gozo, on Monday evening, all trying to get the best spot to view the traditional horse races, which were being held as part of the programme of activities for the St George’s Feast.
Races got underway at 7.00pm. Prizes presented to the winners at the end of the programme by the Minister for Gozo, Dr Justyne Caruana and the Mayor of Victoria, Dr Samuel Azzopardi.
