Gozo Police have said that a 19-year-old man from Ghajnsielem was grievously injured in a traffic accident earlier this afternoon in Mgarr Road, Xewkija.

The accident happened at about 2.15pm this afternoon, when the young man, who was riding a Sym Symphony motorbike, collided with an Isuzu NHR van, being driven by a 25-year old man from Xewkija

The driver of the Isuzu did not suffer any injuries, Police said.

Police investigations are still underway.
