The Planning Authority has launched a new, redesigned version of its website giving the public quick and easy access to essential planning information, with an increase of its services available online, it said.
The new site is fully responsive with mobile devices, making it easy to navigate on a wide range of web browsers and portable devices.
More videos are available in the new content, and the PA said that users now have the facility to sign up for weekly updates on the homepage.
The Authority said that Development Notification Order and compliance certificate applications are to be incorporated into the Planning Authority’s online e-applications system within the coming fortnight, enabling Periti to submit these applications on behalf of their clients.
DNO applications cover any proposed development which does not have an impact on the site context and on neighbouring residences, the Authority added.
The PA said that no water or electricity services are provided for by Enemalta or Water Services unless an applicant is in possession of a valid compliance certificate. “While the new online system will retain all the existing requirements, all documentation will now have to be submitted electronically.”
Furthermore, it said, “communications with ARMS will also be done digitally, improving efficiency even further as information becomes available instantly throughout the processing and eventual issue of the compliance certificate.”
