Heritage Malta is holding an open weekend at the National Museum of Fine Arts during which the public would be able to view paintings by masters such as Mattia Preti, Antonio Sciortino, Edward Caruana Dingli and the exhibition of works by Victor Pasmore. During the event one would also be able to buy books on art and art history in Malta.

The open weekend, which is being held in collaboration with Midsea Books, will take place between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th December from 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs.

The open weekend is coinciding with an exhibition of paintings by Victor Pasmore which is being held at the museum. The Victor Pasmore in Malta Commemorative Exhibition consists of works by this well known artist who lived for many years in Malta. A small number of his works are found in public places including the Central Bank of Malta, St James Cavalier: Centre of Creativity, the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Cathedral Museum in Mdina.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and is sponsored by The Central Bank of Malta, Midsea Books and Transpak.
