The National Blood Transfusion Service would like to thank everyone who donated blood at the Gozo General Hospital yesterday. No less that 63 people turned out for Sunday’s session.

However, the Service said that week after week the challenge continues to provide enough blood for those in need.

There will therefore be another session this coming Sunday, the 3rd of September between 9.00am and 1.00pm, when blood can be donated at the Outpatients Department of the Gozo General Hospital, Please also encourage others to donate if possible.

It is important that before you go to donate blood to drink a substantial amount of water, and take your ID card, driving license or Maltese passport. The Service thanks in advance everyone who intends to donate.
