Gozo’s ERRC is one of 6 civil protection NGOs to receive a grant

Minister for Home Affairs and National Security Michael Farrugia has presented grants totalling €25,000 to six NGOs, which help the Department of Civil Protection.
One of those that has benefited is Gozo’s Emergency Response & Rescue Corps (ERRC), which has received €2,500.
The other five involved are, The Red Cross – €15,000, The Emergency Fire & Rescue Unit (EFRU) – €2 ,500, The St. John Rescue Corps €2,500, The St. John Ambulance, and Malta Amature Radio League (MARL) will both receive €1,500 each.
Minister Farrugia said that in previous years the Red Cross was the only one awarded a financial grant which was €9,000 – this was then increased to €14,000. He added that next year, the grant for NGOs will increase again and will be €35,000.
He also mentioned that the CPD will be investing in drones for use in certain major operations such as fire and rescue.
