The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, has inaugurated the annual crib exhibition organised by Ghaqda Hbieb tal-Presepju.
The Minister is shown here with the Secretary of the Ghaqda Hbieb tal-Presepju, Mr Anton Galea, admiring his exhibit which depicts a very traditional winter scene.
This annual event is as usual being held in the exhibition hall at the Ministry for Gozo, St Francis Square, Victoria.
The exhibition is now officially open to the public and will be opening daily up to and including the 1st of January 2009.
The exhibition is open on weekdays between 9.00am and 4.00pm, Saturday from 9.00am to 12.00 noon, and on Christmas Day, Sunday and New Years Day the exhibition will be open from 9.00am to 12.00 noon and also from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
The photograph below shows a crib which has been painstakingly carved from a traditional loaf of Gozitan bread.

The Malta Tourism Authority will be organising a multi-crib exhibition at the Auberge D’Italie.
it would be very much appreciated to have a representation of cribs from gozo for this event which will start on December 16 until January 6.
