Sunday remained fine, but very cold for the Carnival and a lively programme of events was held in Nazzarenu Square, Xaghra under blue skies.
There was the traditional kukkanja and kumittiva dance, plenty of colourful costumes, dancing, laugher and of course various Carnival competitions.
Carnival festivities were also enjoyed in Xewkija, with a live event which was presented by Gorg tad-Downuts.
The entertainment included a parade from St Bert Street to St John the Baptist Square. Dance, with music by the Prekursur Band, local carnival groups, costume and float competitions, masks and a Prinjolata.
