A 73-year old man from Ghasri was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Mgarr road, Xewkija, at around 1.30pm afternoon.

Gozo Police said the man was a passenger in a Toyota Vitz, that was being driven by a 70 year old woman, who lost control of her car and hit a parked Ford Transit.

The man was taken to the Gozo General Hospital for further treatment, the female driver, also from Ghasri, was not injured.

Police investigations are still on going.
