A video has been released today by BirdLife Malta, which it said, “sums up the findings of its annual Spring Watch camp,” and will now be submitted to the European Commission by BirdLife, as part of a report on the 2018 spring hunting season.
In a statement, the NGO said that the camp “monitored this year’s spring hunting season for illegalities across Gozo and Malta.
BLM said that the video presents a “chronological account of illegalities witnessed every day of the season.”
It added that it also summarises the main incidents encountered by the teams during the season dates – for “a total of 148 illegal killing incidents, showing the shooting at protected birds species migrating this spring, in particular the vulnerable Turtle Dove.”

The European Commission are about as effective as a chocolate fire grate. They’ve been sitting on their hands for as long as I can remember over this barbaric pastime.
This is a sure start for Malta to be kicked out the eu, too many infringements are also pending
In my opinion for the eu to accept Malta is for your Government to step up and put his foot down, as it stands there are too many corruptions and possible Mafia infiltration same as your gambling establishments. .
