The Projectnews team today appeals for urgent blood donations in order to avoid cancellation of operations due to the current serious blood shortage.

Projectnews will feature the blood donation process, as from when the donor donates his or her blood to its delivery to Mater Dei Hospital to be given to the patient in need. It is a very long process and requires dedication from all the staff at the National Blood Transfusion Service and also those at Mater Dei Hospital.

In its campaign for blood donations, Projectnews team appeals continously for blood donations as there might not be enough blood to meet any emergencies which may arise. Those in good health are being urged to donate blood at the National Blood Transfusion Centre in Gwardamangia.

During today’s programme, Projectnews will feature also the Euro Currency. The kids ask people whether they got used to this currency which we now already used for a year. They also meet one of ex-NECC members who shared with the kids her experience during the changeover.

Projectnews is aired on Wednesday at 4.30pm with a repeat on Saturday at 10.30am on TVM.
