A Bread and Tomato Festival – two popular products typical of Gozo, will be taking place next week in Kercem.
The festival will highlight authentic, traditional local food recipes, using this Gozitan produce. It will also provide information on their nutritional use, while at the same time further promoting genuine local food.
Organised by the St. Gregory Band of Kercem, the festival will also help to raise further awareness of ALS, in conjunction with the ALS Malta Foundation,
The band explained that this first edition of the festival will focus more on folklore and traditions linked to these culinary products which are unfortunately often overlooked.
This Bread and Tomato Festival will be held on Saturday, the 1st of September, in the area of Ghadira Ta’ San Raflu, limits of Kercem and will start at 6pm.
